RESUMO
Na Paraíba há inúmeros topônimos de origem indígena, notadamente com predominância de etmos tupi. No entanto, muitos topônimos (especialmente no interior do Estado) demonstram uma constituição idiomática não tupi e através de estudos na Arte de Gramática da Língua Brasílica da Nação Kiriri, do Pe. Luís Vicêncio Mamiani, nos foi possível reconhecer alguns padrões lexicológicos do idioma e converter alguns topônimos paraibanos que nitidamente são originários do dialeto Kepeá, dos cariri Dzubucuá. Como são muitos os topônimos a serem estudados à luz da gramática cariri, decidimos nesta oportunidade selecionar o topônimo “Carnoió”, que denomina uma serra na região do Cariri paraibano, com o objetivo central de demonstrar que a toponímia se enquadre como patrimônio imaterial, porque através dela é possível resgatar os significados de topônimos de forma colaborar com o discernimento histórico das localidades.

ABSTRACT
In Paraíba there are many place names of Indian origin, especially with a predominance of etmos Tupi. However, many place names (especially within the State) did not show an idiomatic Tupi constitution and by studying the Art of Grammar Language Brasílica Kiriri the nation, the Rev. Luis Vicencio Mamiani, we were able to recognize certain patterns of language and lexicological convert some toponyms paraibanos that clearly originate in the dialect Kepeá, the Cariri Dzubucuá. As many place names to be studied in the light of grammar Cariri, we decided this time select the toponym "Carnoió", which he calls a mountain in the Cariri Paraiba, with the central aim of demonstrating that the place names as intangible heritage fits because through it you can redeem the meanings of place names in order to collaborate with the discernment of historical locations.
